Between Chartres and Rambouillet, five wedding venues lie less than 20 minutes by car from Les Maisons de Giroudet, in Écrosnes. Our three houses sleep from 2 to 10 guests, in an 18th-century farmstead.
The invitation has arrived
You’ve been invited to a wedding in the countryside of the Eure-et-Loir or the south of the Yvelines. The date is in the diary, the outfit almost chosen. One question remains: where to stay?
Wedding venues are often deep in the countryside. Sleeping just a few minutes away changes everything: less driving, more sleep, and a morning after with no alarm.
The venues less than 20 minutes away
Here are the wedding venues closest to our houses, with the driving time.
Le Clos des Passerelles, 5 minutes
In the same village as us, Écrosnes, at the place called les Moraines: 3 km. The shortest journey of all, almost a village wedding.
La Ferme de Bouchemont, 10 minutes
In Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien, 7 km away. Christine and her loved ones were invited there: “We rented for a wedding at La Ferme de Bouchemont, for 10 people. The location was ideal, close to the farm. Everything was spotlessly clean.”
Château d’Esclimont, 10 minutes
Also in Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien, likewise 7 km away. A party at the château, a night at the farm.
La Ferme du Genièvre, 15 minutes
In Prunay-en-Yvelines, 10 km away, just across the border between the Eure-et-Loir and the Yvelines.

Which house to choose
For ten close friends and family: Villa Marceau. Two houses together, 150 m², 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens. It sleeps 8 in separate beds, or 10 with shared rooms. The 400 m² enclosed garden hosts the next day’s brunch, and the car park takes 7 cars.
For a couple: Maison Raphaël. Two suites, each with its own bathroom, for one couple or two couples of friends. On Sunday, the sauna helps you recover; from May to the end of September, so does the indoor pool, its water unheated.
For a family of six: Maison Auguste. Three bedrooms, a large family kitchen and a private garden. It does not have access to the pool or the sauna.
Our tips for a successful wedding weekend
Book early. Reserve your accommodation as soon as the date is known: Villa Marceau hosts only one group at a time.
Arrive the day before. The typical stay runs from Friday to Sunday. On Friday evening, you settle in quietly. On Saturday, you get ready without rushing.
Plan the journey back. Choose a sober driver, or book a taxi several days ahead. When you return, the key box is waiting: you can arrive at any hour.
Enjoy Sunday. With us, late check-out is possible until 2 pm, at no extra cost, depending on the calendar: we’ll confirm it at the start of your stay.
What we ask
Our houses welcome guests, not parties. Music outdoors until 9 pm, then inside. Quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am. Ten people at most on site. No parties and no outside visitors.
That’s what lets everyone sleep well, you and the neighbours alike.
Booking
A 30% deposit is enough to secure the date, the balance is charged automatically 30 days before arrival and cancellation is free up to 5 days before. Booking direct on our website costs 14% less than on Airbnb or Booking.
