Countryside seminars near Chartres

Villa Marceau welcomes up to 10 colleagues in a renovated 18th-century farmstead in Écrosnes, between Chartres and Rambouillet. It is 1 hr 20 min from Paris by car, 15 km from the A11 motorway, with fibre wifi and a meeting table for 10.

A change of air for clearer thinking

Some decisions are best made far from open-plan offices. Here, the horizon opens onto a stable’s meadows, the phone rings less and ideas flow more freely.

A leadership team preparing the year ahead, a project team that needs to move fast, a few partners setting out a strategy: our houses lend themselves to these countryside seminars near Chartres, in small groups, without the anonymity of a hotel.

The place is yours alone. Nobody else in the garden, nobody else around the table.

A typical day

8 am. Coffee brews in one of the two kitchens. Everyone gathers on the terrace, facing the plain still wrapped in mist.

9 am. Plenary session around the meeting table at Maison Auguste. Ten people, one large table, natural daylight.

11 am. Breakout workshops. One team stays at Auguste, the other settles at the table in Maison Raphaël. Those who need quiet retreat to the desk in their bedroom.

1 pm. Lunch in the 400 m² enclosed garden, with the barbecue lit if the weather allows.

2:30 pm. Back to work, or a forty-minute walk in the countryside to digest the ideas as much as the meal.

6 pm. The session ends in the sauna, open all year round. From May to the end of September, a few lengths in the indoor pool (unheated water) round off the day.

8 pm. Dinner on the terrace by the fire pit, then a game of pétanque to settle the score between teams.

Spaces and equipment

Fibre wifi. A meeting table for 10 at Maison Auguste, for 5 at Maison Raphaël. A desk in every bedroom for quiet work. No screen or flip chart provided.

So remember to bring your projector or portable screen if you need one. For everything else, Villa Marceau offers 150 m² across two houses, two equipped kitchens, two terraces, an enclosed garden and parking for 7 cars.

Sleeping arrangements

Villa Marceau has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms: 8 in separate beds, 10 with shared rooms. Everyone has a proper place, and nobody sleeps on the sofa.

For a smaller team, Maison Raphaël sleeps 4 in two suites, each with its own bathroom. Maison Auguste sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, two of them with twin beds that can be pushed together.

What’s included

Beds are made, towels are provided and end-of-stay cleaning is included. You arrive, put your files on the table, and the meeting can begin. For longer stays, a mid-stay cleaning package is available.

Getting to Giroudet

By car. The A11 is 15 km away. Allow 1 hr 20 min from Paris, 45 minutes from Orly.

By train. TER trains leave Paris-Montparnasse for Rambouillet (34 minutes on average, 29 minutes for the fastest, around thirty trains a day) and for Épernon (45 minutes on average, 39 minutes at the quickest). Rambouillet is also served by Transilien line N. Both stations are 15 minutes by car from the houses: book a taxi in advance or organise car-sharing from the station.

Arrival. Check-in is self-service, with a key box, from 5 pm. Check-out is at 11 am.

Indicative budget

Villa Marceau is available from €318 a night for 8 people, or about €40 per person per night, as a guide, excluding tourist tax. The exact rate depends on your dates and the number of participants.

Booking direct on our website costs 14% less than on Airbnb or Booking.

Invoicing and booking

We issue an invoice in your company’s name. Send us your dates and the number of participants: you’ll receive a quote within 24 hours.

A 30% deposit is required on booking. The balance is charged automatically 30 days before arrival. A card pre-authorisation of €800 is taken two days before the stay for Villa Marceau (€300 for Maison Raphaël or Maison Auguste). Cancellation is free up to 5 days before arrival.

Long assignments and tradespeople

A team on a building site or an assignment lasting several weeks? Stays of 28 nights or more are welcome, and we offer a midweek rate for tradespeople and employees on assignment.

Everyone has a desk in their bedroom, the fibre connection keeps up with video calls, and the large family kitchen at Maison Auguste lets you cook your meals just as you would at home. In the evening, you come back to peace and quiet, far from the traffic, with only the plain for a neighbour.

Please note: Maison Auguste does not have access to the pool or sauna, which are reserved for guests of Maison Raphaël and Villa Marceau.
